Are there any special mental health services available in recovery sober living?

Connection, support, sobriety, employment, and quality of life are all important outcomes for people in recovery. Recovery, being unique to each person, justifies a variety of housing options for people, whether they are transitioning from a homeless situation, a treatment center, or even their own home. Ongoing models of affordable housing, from Housing First to recovery housing, are invaluable to people in recovery in all walks of life. For young adults who suffer from mental disorders, reintegration into society can be a challenge.

At Riviera Recovery, our services not only include sober living, but they also close the gap for those suffering primarily from mental health disorders. At our mental health centers in Los Angeles, residents can learn life skills, with the guidance and support of living independent lives. At ECHO Recovery, we accept donations that we use to help sponsor people in recovery. Often, even when a person has insurance that covers their care, people need help paying for housing and basic needs during the initial stages of treatment.

A portion of our donations goes to help finance sober housing for those who are recovering early. These levels range from peer-managed facilities, such as Oxford Housing (Level I), to homes for sober people under supervision (Level II), supervised housing (Level III) and residential treatment housing (Level IV). For years, Riviera Recovery has served the Los Angeles community and provides services to those with mental health problems, substance abuse problems and co-occurring disorders. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the time a person spends on substance abuse treatment (including sober living) can directly increase their recovery outcomes.

Riviera Recovery has two gender-specific housing centers for people of sobriety and mental health near the beautiful and picturesque area of Los Angeles, California. Achieving the best sober living experience for people with a psychiatric illness also means focusing on how addiction and mental illness feed on each other and how to reduce the level of harm that each of them is creating.

Homes for sober people

are often privately owned organizations, and every sober housing center is different. At this level, the client can manage daily challenges and seek support from staff and their sober community, as needed.

This list has proven to be extremely useful in finding the right center that is specific to recovery from addiction and mental illness.
